This is one of my first tests using a 35mm DOF adapter I built based on instructions I from jetsetmodels.info. The test was done using an old Adorama brand 70-200mm lens instead of the standard 50mm/f1.8/f1.4.

This is our dog Tucket doing his repertoire of tricks with some funny outtakes at the end. Included are sit, give paw, lay down, play dead, and close the door.  Tucket is the inspiration for the website we do for fun about dogs in shelters looking for homes — PupsDaily.com.

We adopted Tucket from the BARC animal shelter in Brooklyn, NY.

Filmed on a Canon HV30 at the Standard HDV setting (30i) with no gizmos attached other than the Slingcam.

A few moments in the life of two crazy kids living in NYC -- The young man decided that he would propose to his girlfriend in NYC, right in the center of Wollman Ice Skating Rink in Central Park.  She said YES!!!! Congratulations guys!  Recorded on the Canon HV30.

The young gentleman later surprised the young lady with a DVD of the whole thing, which I had the pleasure of providing.

This is a presentation I did for my class at Fordham University: New Media and Mass Communication.

This presentation covers several different areas concerning video and the internet. It will start with a look at the near term inevitability of internet video being streamed to television sets on a large scale by examining important transitional steps being taken by video equipment manufacturers such as Sony and Roku, cable operators such as Comcast and Charter Communications, and content distributors such as Netflix. Next, it covers some current offerings which index television programming on the web. I take a look at YouTube and its newest feature as well as a few other video driven websites such as Vimeo. A more unique offering I will cover will be the growth of websites offering users the ability to broadcast audio and video live(whether it be pre-recorded or truly live. Finally, I will briefly cover ,revenue/advertising for internet video and summarize my findings to make a prediction as to the future direction of Internet Video and how it will change the current program delivery methods.

Ok, really bored. I was in the car waiting on my wife and was going through the Canon HV30 manual and menus…when all of a sudden — I was distracted by pointing my HV30 camera at the monitor and getting this mirror effect.   So I messed around for a minute, then went back to studying the HV30 manual.

So, even though this video is essentially crap, it illustrates a cool effect that could be used constructively for something.  May look really cool in front of a 52″ screen as opposed to the 9″ one that I used.

This is my first day out with it, so with a little more work things should get smoother. It is much easier to keep steady when walking, but I couldn’t resist taking it out on the roller blades. Its great for low angle shots.  All footage was taken on the Canon HV30.
